Default API Treestand Accessories (Chain Link)

My shrink tubing chain links are in pretty bad shape and I'm looking to change them. I was told that the API website itself had them for sale, but I checked and they're not available. Do any of you guys know of any other place where one could buy just the chain links?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

I remember reading a post on another web site that said the API chains are really made for a combine, and that you can get replacement chain at any tractor supply store. The API chain lengths are 5.5 feet. The person who wrote the post said he bought a hundred foot roll for him and his buddies. I also remember something about the size of the chain or part number being stamped on the inside of the links, you probably want to check that to make sure you are getting the proper replacement. If you cant find replacement chains from API, it might be worth a shot checking this out. Hope this helps.

TroopA, I am in the same boat as you. I called API @ 800-228-4846 to order replacement chains as mine are about six years old. I have reached a recording telling me that this is the parts department and to leave a number and they will get back with me as soon as possible. As of today I have left three messages and never received a call back. I think I will heed some advice from this site and purchase a Summit. If this is their idea of customer service I don't need them. LOL
