I picked up one of the old style Schaffers for my '02 Patriot. I converted it to the drop away. I like the fact that it had the overdraw shelf and protected the hand from the broadhead. I tried everything possible, but was getting terrible fletching contact somewhere on the rest. I even accused BowTech that the bow was tweaked. After a trip to the BowTech factory, we determined that it was the rest. I have now gone to a Dalton 5000 Empire Target. They sold it to me for $66 and it is sweet. It holds the arrow in place while tipping the bow near Horizontal, picks up late, and drops early. Tuning is a breeze, and there aren't alot of things that could break or go wrong with it.

I have a Generation 2 drop away on my Outback and i like it a lot. I dont know where you live but i live near the Schaffer Bow shop so i got my Outback set up there and if you would bring your bow in to have it put on they would get it all straightened out for you. They are really good there. My dad also has one on his Razortec and my cusin on his Legacy and they all love them.

I put one on my Xtec when I bought the bow from him this spring. So far I can't see anything wrong with it and it has worked the way it's suppose to. IMO, one of the better fall away rest designs out there.
