Default the better vane question?

i am currently shooting the aae vanes but they seem to loose there shape and are a little noisy to me.who really makes the quietest and most durable and forgiving vanes out there.

The Flex Fletch Vanes are very good. I have been shooting the 418 size for my hunting set up for years. Very durable in my opinion. I am experimenting with the Quick Spins now and they will probably be my new hunting vane if they work out. If not I will go back to Flex Fletch.

I was shooting both Bohning and AAE prior to this year. I switched to duravanes and am entirely happy with my decision. Great durability and no noise that I have noticed.

I rate Duras just *slightly* above AAEs for durability...I have not had good luck with them (and the colors for Duravanes $uck! )

Marcos and Bohning are pretty tough, but Flex Fletch are far and away better than any other vane.

They are not inexpensive, but they'll last a hell of a lot longer than anything else....combined...

I have had great luck with aae fast set gel and duravanes.
jeffb, do you really prefer marcos and bohning vanes to aae's and duravanes? I have had nothing but bad luck with marcos and its been at least ten years since I've fletched with bohning. Oh and where do you purchase flex fletch?

I have always had good experiences with AAE Elites. I'm kind of surprized to hear of your problems.
