Default New bow help!

Ok I started looking at new bows. I have shot a parker, Darton, PSE, Hoyt. I really liked the new 2004 model Darton, (not sure which model it was) I am looking for some advice. I shot it at Gander Mountain in Scranton, PA. Gary who was the salesman shot for Darton and had set the bow up. It drew extremely smooth and there wasn't any vibration during the shot. The speed was around 250 AMO is what I recall him saying. I would like to know what kind of problems I may encounter down the road if I do go with a Darton. I know there may be alot of die hard other brand bow shooters out there but I am looking for an unbias opinion. Thanks Pat.

I don't know a whole lot about Darton myself. I have however just run across a discussion about their customer service. Darton thread Typical CS talk. Some for, some against. My suggestion, if you love it, buy it. If you like it, keep shopping.[&:]

Pat The bow you shot could have been the Darton Tyhpoon? I bought one a couple of months ago & just love it. I walked into my pro shop & picked up the pro's Darton Typhoon & shot it. I instantly fell in love with the Typhoon. I bought one on the spot.

Go shoot a bowtech then see what you think of the others.I've shot PSE for years went out and shot the 04 Patriot s/c and d/c they were the nicest bows I've ever shot.I liked the s/c a little better though the d/c was a little rougher draw. Both were smoking fast though my vote bowtech all the way!!!

Hi pat, glad to see ya looking for a bow.The dartons are a very nice bow.I was looking at the avalanche and they are awesome, the mavericks are very nice the same.I am not sure which bow you shot but IMO you cant go wrong with a darton.I have a friend who shoots the maverick and my dealer also shoots the same and they love them. One thing that really turned me on with the bows is the grip,i just love them. The C/P/S cam is very smooth and recoil free at the shot.
They are a nice bow but i just cant figure out why you havent looked at the BOWTECH line yet----lol----j/k

P.S---I dont think you will have any problems down the road with darton, they have been around for a long time.
What was the A to A and brace height on this bow, that may help us determin which bow you were shooting?
