Hard time finding a used bow - HELP!!!
Hey guys,
I've been searching fro about 2 weeks to find a used bow (2003/2002) in my draw length (31.5'') and price range. I've put together a list of bows ttha could possibly work, but I wanted to know your opinion as to which I should go with. Here they are:
Martin Cougar 3 Elite
Datron Cyclone Express 3D
Mcpherson/Pearson 38' special
Mathews Conquest 2
Parker Ultra-lite Pro

Jonesy, If you can find a 38" Special you're gonna be real happy with it. I shot one last year and it's a honey. Moved on to the Pearson Freedom this year It's identical except 3" shorter and a tad faster, not much though. My all-time favorite has been the 38. There is very little hand shock with these things and they are very quiet. And now you can get draw modules to change the letoff--65, 75, or 85%.

what price range are you thinking?
You can get a used Hoyt and I'm pretty sure their cams are adjustable to 31.5. Give a little more info and I will look around for you.
Price?
ATA?

Archerytalk.com has a great classified section. I've purchased a few things from there. They have alot of good used bows on there. If you can't find one there then ebay might have something your looking for. I got a 02 magnatec for $230 on there a couple years ago.

I would use some caution in buying a used bow. Try it out 1st . Make sure the limbs aren't cracked, twisted, etc. I would hope the seller would be ethical and not sell something defective but it happens. I wouldn't even buy a bow in a store without thoroughly checking it out after hearing a guy Dry Fire a bow at Gander Mountain. May the Buyer Beware !

You might want to check Ebay. There always seems to be some pretty good deals on there from guys who have to have the latest, greatest equipment, so they sell their barely used bows at reasonable prices. Let us know what you find!
