RE: The Block

I use the portable mainly for broadheads. I get a little poke through with field points, but never a pass through. Broadheads do chew it up but nothing is designed to last forever.

Well I just got my Block Pro Model. When they say that you can remove an arrow with one hand, I would like to see the person who can do this! I am shooting a Bow Tech Extreme VFT, 28 1/2 inch pull @ 60 lbs., with 400 Beman carbon arrows with a field tip. Since it is cold out, I have it set up in my basement and shoot about 10 yards. The arrow goes about 12 inches deep. Maybe after it gets shot for awhile, it will be easier to get the arrows out.

THE POINT TO THE BLOCK IS THAT IT DOES NOT DULL BROADHEADS...
AN THAT IT IS EXTREEMLY PORTABLE.

IF YOU SWITCH YOUR FIELD POINTS TO THE NEW BOAT-TAIL SHAPE INSTEAD OF THE OLDER TYPE THAT HAS A NECK AROUND THE BASE..YOU WILL FIND THEY PULL OUT EASILY...

Sorry, but I don't see how anything that can stop a broadhead will not dull it. Too hard to believe for me.

I'm with rangerstud on this one. I don't see how that is possible. And I've never heard that to be a "claim to fame" of the Block.

I have had one for a year with no problems. It works as advertised for me. Lots less hassle than setting up a 3-D target.

Well, I have solved the problem of arrows pulling out hard. I was shooting Beman 400's camo colored. The camo coating heats up when shot into The Block making them hard to pull. Went and bought 6 practice arrows in plain gray with the boat tail tips. They pull ten times easier. :)

RE: The Block

I've had my block for about a year and half now with 3 people that shoot at it. While setting up a new sight today I had an arrow go through far enough that the fletchings were just inside the target on the center dot. So it's starting to thin out a little. It will last at least through next year then I'll replace it. I don't know of another target that can take as many shots and last as long for field point shooting.

I think it's held up great for field point use, but it won't last long for broadheads they tear it up pretty quick.

Sounds like The Block will be money well spent. Like BHS said, no target will last forever.

RE: The Block

I use mine everyday during lunch (weather permitting). I love it. every few months I take some black spray paint and re-color the black circles. One hand is all it takes to pull out arrows. Sometimes I have to lay my 3D McKenzie target on the ground, take it apart, step on it with one foot and pull the arrow out.

Buy the Block, you wont be disappointed.
