buck masters has a few and pse but realy look into pse on basspro or cabelas they have real good cheap prices on bows that will get the job done.

1hntr, if you aren' t in a huge hurry, wait. Most manufacturers are getting ready to introduce their ' 04 bows. When they do, a bunch of people buy new and sell their " old" bow.

Some name brand used bows hold their value very well, and command a good price, but there are many many quality build bows that don' t, and are usually sold for a fraction of the new cost.

Get an idea what kind of specs you want in a bow, come up with a few brands/models that fit this bill then watch Ebay, archery talk classifieds, local shops, etc and find a bargain. For most bows you can get modules to adjust the draw length to fit you in case you find a deal on a shorter/longer draw bow.

Along the same lines as Rangeball mentioned, you will likely find ' 03 models marked down at the beginning of the year when the ' 04' s start hitting the shelves. Most likely not as cheap as a good used bow, but another option to consider anyway.

If I remember correctly,I think Bass Pro Shops/Redhead, they were selling a Reflex bow with the cam.5 for $200. That is a great deal on a new cam.5 bow. I just figure that if a Reflex is good enough for Chuck Adams, it must be good enough for all of us.

Look for a used bow. Odds are you will get one of better quality, set up with accesories, and already shooting acurately for about that price. For example a three year old bow that new cost $500 will probably be in your price range. I sold my 4 year old Darton to a kid for $75. He got a great shooting bow and has already harvested two doe with it. I' m glad to help someone start out in archery, so I lowered my price to help. I' m sure there are many other archers in the same boat.

Probably not, but I have a new PSE Nova S75 with most of the " fixins" that I am about to put up on Ebay for $100. ;):) Plus, I am also about to sell my Sterner Duttera Rhino31 for $200 with, again, most of fixins.

Ebay is a decent place to look, but that PSE that Frank has would get my $$$ if I was looking for a bow like that. He will have it set up right!:D

I have the same model bow that Handles sold, but I' m not selling mine. It shoots too good for an " obsolete, no-value, throw-away bow." ;););)

I just bought my son a PSE Nova from Bass Pro Shop for $199.00. This includes the quiver, sight and arrow rest. Just remember, there are no cheap bows, just lousy shooters.

Im selling a Fred Bear Code - for 120. I have killed 2 8 points with it.. its 2 years old. Its a split limb design with the recurved limbs and looks very simular to one of the current Buckmaster bows -(recurved split limbs)

Its a smooth shootin bow............ I got an AR 34 now so no need to keep this one

16 to 18 Beman 60/80' s good condition for $25.

Yeah Jeff, the Rhino is about to become history...as is a Browning Ambush 80 that I have at home as well. Gotta make room for the new Hoyt and Bowtech...:)

You' ll get a lot more bow if you buy used, but it also requires more knowledge. You have to know your correct drawlength in most cases. It also helps to know bow values, since you will find everything from low end bows, to the most expensive. If you' re a beginner, you should take whatever you get, to a good bow shop and pay them to set it up properly for you.

PSE has one I saw on their website called a deerhunter I believe. Looked like a good bow to start out with for adults. reasonable price on a package bow.

Straightarrow has some good advice for you. In my local pawn shops I often see High Country, Mathews, Martin, PSE, and other excellent bows going dirt cheap. They almost always are fully set up with sights, arrow rest, quiver, etc.

You do need to know something about what fits you. Take an experienced friend along to help make your selection. I usually see lots of good used bows showing up in pawn shops after the season is over and just before the Holidays.

I have a mathews feather max (28 inch draw) with sims string leeches, kisser button, string loop and sims limb savers on it that I would let go for $200.00. Nothing wrong with it. I have a PSE "the beast" and I'm in love with it. Cost me $500 with everything including a release, 6 arrows, rest, sights and quiver. In my opinion, you dont need an expensive bow to kill deer, it works great nd gets the job done.

i have never baught a new bow my bow i have now was used 1 season then he baught a new bow so i saved a ton of money on it with all the fixins it cost me 350 but the shop set it up for free because it was one of his bows he sold the guy

Got my first bow from sports authority for $80.00 because it was discontinued. A Bear Paw Recurve compound. Had nothing on it but even after having it set up & tuned it was right around $200 for everything. Got another one over the winter from an uncles brother for $175 this ones a martin cougar speedflite. If you keep your eyes open you can get set up pretty cheap, at least it worked that way for me.
E-Bay & the catalogs such as Cabelas often have package deals too.
