broadheads so many choices

Well you sure are heavy enough to use the ST mags. I try to recommend to guys using 60# and under with lighter arrows and 100 gr heads to use something like the Viper trick or cut on contact head even if using a mechanical.

Broadheads remind me
of fishing lures for fisherman. The lures are mostly for the fisherman and not the fish.
I'm using broadheads that first came out nearly 20 years ago. Keep them sharp and they still seem to work.
And there are many broadheads that - work.

I was one of those people that seemed to have to try every new broadhead design. Man was it expensive. Started using 100 grain magnum slick tricks about 4 years ago and am so happy with their performance that I have no intention of changing any time soon.

decided to go with the 100 grain 2 inch cut Shwackers. Going to give them a try and see how they do. If not happy with them i will go back to the slick tricks.
Bronko22000, had my arrows weighed at the bow shop yesterday when i got my broadheads. 365 grains with broadhead, shot through the chrono at 300 fps. Using the Goldtip Velocity XTs and they are super light, actually thinking of going with a heavier arrow next season. The guy at the shop figured my Kinetic energy at 71 pounds at 20 yards.

I shot 100gr before and had more trouble finding suitable arrows for those heads. And I was against mechs but I might change my mind next time I'm in Africa. The ST's kill quick enough but they don't give good bloodtrails. I had everything drop inside a 40yard perimeter but my impala double backed behind the blind and if it wouldn't have been for my PH, I would have had difficulties finding the kill.
