Default Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter Fall Away Review

Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter Fall Away:

Construction: Machined Aluminum & Stainless Steal.

Overview:
I have been a slow convert to Fall Away rests. Recently I started testing various models to see how they performed and what I thought about them. One of the first rests I went out to buy at Outdoor World was the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter. It actually took me 3 trips, this rest is so hot they can' t keep them in stock this year!

My first impression of the rest was that it is bullet proof and very well made. You can clearly see that this rest was designed for hunting and the rigorous demands that hard hunting can put upon a product.

In my opinion Dan Evans got it right with this rest. I would not think twice to consider using it on any hunt for any type of game!

Rating system: 1 = poor, 10 = best.

Durability: 10 - This thing is rock solid. If you break it you broke your bow too! I like the solid design & locking bolts and they do not work loose as you continue to pound light arrows out of a hot rodded bow.

Quality: 10 - This is a great design that is made of the best parts and materials. It should last a lifetime.

Price: 9 - This rest falls right in there with a lot of other rests. Some places charge a little more for them than others but the rest is well worth the price. The quality is outstanding and so 64.99 was not a bad price for a camo rest.

Warranty: 10 - An unlimited two-year warranty is more than fair. I have heard from numerous people who say they have great customer service and support.

Tune ability: 9 - This rest is easy to set and adjust but lacks some of the adjustments of a micro adjust rest. Trophy Taker does make a micro adjust rest but honestly this rest was easy enough to tune and adjust with out it.

Total Score: 9.6

Final Comment: If you have not tried this rest give it a try. I think you will really like it and will find is is one of the best hunting rests I have found. I am happy I finally got to try one of these and see how it performed. I love the Shakey Hunter Launcher arm, it does a great job. Another nice bonus was the new arrow holder that attaches to your bows shelf. This is one of those little extras that goes a long way. I wish other companies would follow what Trophy Taker has done and include a usefull model with all of their Fall Aways.

I have found this rest a joy to shoot. I think it would be a great rest for anyone looking for a fall away. It is a high quality product that will serve you for years. My groups where fantastic and it was very easy to tune. All I can say is that it is a great product.

I' ll second that review. Its a lightweight, very durable and very simple. Its also probably the most proven dropaway on the market!

good luck!

I have not shot though any other fall-away rest before, but I can say that after listening to the other hunters and shooters my choice was easier. Simple, dependable, and acurate. I was satisfied enough to put one on the wife' s bow. All husbands know that a good choice for their spouse is a short lived praise, but a bad choice lengers for eternity.
