great, you are doing it right, i would encourage you to try a few more. Dont worry about the range and accuracy just yet, once you get one bought and tuned and enough time practicing the accuracy will come. just worry about the feel for now because the bow will always outshoot you.

ok. just stumbled onto the Diamond Outlaw. seems like a VERY good bow for the money. im goin to my local Dicks sporting goods to shoot it today. hope all goes well!

Last year was my first year bow hunting and when these guys tell you that you will get hooked... they are not kidding!!! It is amazing and you are going to have a blast!
If you have a Dicks Sporting Goods down around you, I would go there. That is what I did and they have a lot of good starting bows there at good prices. I got a Martin there and it turned out to be a very fast bow and they set everything up for me. My biggest tip would be to PRACTICE!!!!!! I picked up my first bow ever 3 weeks before opening day lol... granted I spent at least a half hour everyday before season flinging arrows to get ready. The first deer I shot at I missed him low... But I am glad I did because the next weekend a huge 9 pointer walked 20 yards infront of me and in Indiana you can only get 1 buck a year... So count your misses as blessings too lol Good luck this season!! |
Thank you! I did go down to my local dicks and shot a couple bows. The most comfortable bow I shot was the bowtech assassin. I'm most likely gonna buy that one. I'm hooked now an haven't even gotta bow! All my buddies are tellin me about it and gettin me pumped! I cant wait!
