I like my carbon express speed freaks 250 shaft shooting them with a 125 grain tip/broad head.
I bought a half dozen CE Mayhem Hunter 350's this year, my first "good" arrows (Have been using CE Wolverine's from Wally World). So far they have been great. My wife is shooting the Mayhem Hot Pursuit 150's out of her Razor Edge.
My hunting setup is NAP Bloodrunner 3 Blades, CE Mayhem Hunter, and a green Lumenock in the back. |
GoldTip Xt Hunter's have been frickin' killers for me. Unless I am shooting Robin Hoods which I try not to do anymore they hold up extremely well. I also have shot several deer with the same arrow.
Did shoot BlackHawk Vapors 4000's for many years. I started out with a dz and when I changed over to GT Velocity 400's I still had 9 of the original dz. I have one that took 7 deer. I mark them with a marker for each taken.
I bought a new Mathews Drenalin this pasy month and went to GT's for bit more zip. We will see. Thats why I kept my BHV's as a back up if needed. |
I shoot the Easton flatline arrows and they seem to be pretty accurate, fast and durable.
I love Gold Tips!!! Awesome arrows and they fly great!
they make those things outta carbon?
I believe Easton is the only remaining USA made arrow. Gotta buy USA-made products as much as we can!!
I am shooting some redhead carbon fury. Can get them for $50 on sale. Got a couple dozen of them. They fly true and kill deer.
Wife and son both shoot carbon express though. |
Just a update on the Trophy ridge arrows I spoke of. The excerts will and do pull off in targets (bag), and the Quick fletch - shrink wraps will pop and slide forward, all preventable if the shafts are scoured with wet/dry sandpaper so as glue has a bonding surface to grab. Lesson learned......
