Lightbulb Silencing Lone Wolf climbing sticks

I have a LW Alpha and climbing sticks. They really fit together nicely and pack super-quiet. Just wandering if anyone has silenced these? I personally think that wrapping them in cloth tape and shooting expanding foam insulation into them seems like a good plan. Before I did this though, I was wanting to see if anyone has. Does the foam weaken the stick or make them hard to work with for some reason? I know that expanding foam is powerful stuff, misaligned a brand new, freshly installed window with this stuff a while back.
