I have not had this or any other problem with mine but I' ll be on the lookout.

I' d contact them at NAP . . . I' m certain they would make it right for you. The have great customer service.

Maybe the allen screw on the bottom came loose and the shaft rotated.Move the forks again and see if the knob on the right moves. If it does then the screw is loose.

I' ve had no problem with mine either, but I' d checkout what thundermug suggested. elknut1

I had this same problem about a month ago.
I contacted nap and they told me to send it in and the would either fix it or send me another.
Instead I took it a part and found a small cotter pin that had shired off. The purpose of the pin is to stop the prongs form moving out of its range of motion.
NAP said the cabel connected to the rest is to tight and was putting to much tension on the pin causing it to break.
After pushing more of the pin back into place and looseing the cable I have had no more problemds with the rest.

That is the reason I never tried one.

I was at the shop that I deal with and he had a stack of them laying there that had the pin sheared off.So I would say that yes,it is or was a problem.I do not know if thet have fixed it since but last year there was a definate problem with them.




Like Joe magee stated,it is an easy fix but that doesn' t replace the arrows lost,or the monster buck missed.

If people are breaking the roll pins, the rests are set up wrong. I have 4 of the 4000s and had 2 2000s. No problems with any of them. It' s obvious when the lifting cable is adjusted too short. The cables bind as the slide can' t move back all the way. This puts too much pressure on the roll pin. Set up properly these are very reliable rests.

i have had the same problem with my 2000. NAP told me to send it back and they would replace it.
