I have used them and they the string still had a slight buzz to them.
You really need a chrono and some time to get the right spot. I have never really had a speed increase with them. But did get them to only loose 2 to 3 fps.
I think it really depends on the bow and string setup. A string without weights already on it would benifit more.

Good enough advice for me!
I' m just looking throught the Cabelas catalogue as I' m going down there
this weekend. Since I live in Toronto going down to Cabelas shopping isn' t a regular thing and since I' ve never seen them before I thought I' d ask!!!
I figured you can' t go wrong with 12fps for $11.99.
Thanks Rack.

I use the accelerator balls for a couple years. I used a chrono and was able to get 5 - 7 fps and they quited the string. That was on a 2 cam bow. I have purchased 3 single cam bows and did not gain any speed with them. I also tried the spider speed balls and after about 10 shots I noticed a wear spot showing up on my new winners choice strings I removed them ahd deposited them in the trash, I kepted the balls. I have heard from several others that some get a little speed increase and some don' t. Mark
