Which rest?
#1
Hello all! New to the board, but glad to be here.
I just purchased a "new" (never shot) 2007 PSE Pro Series X-force bow & I'm looking to set it up with a new drop-away. It has 50-60# limbs set to 60#. I have an Alpine Archery rest on my PSE Baby-G, and it has worked well. However, this new bow is much faster, and I want a rest that will get out of the way.
I have considered the QAD Pro HD, the 2010 Ripcord, and the Trophy Ridge Drop Shot & Drop Slide rests.
Thoughts & recommendations? Thanks!

I have the 2010 Ripcord and I love it so far.. I just put in on my new Bowtech Destroyer (which is shooting extreemly fast at around 340 fps), with no problems.. If you go to the website you will see all of its advantages, this drop away WILL get out of the way as well as stay down with NO bounce back because it has a breaking system.. The QAD also has a few of the same qualities--both in my opinion are fantastic rests, I just liked the ripcord a little more..

Awesome! Thanks for the response. I REALLY like the looks of the Code Red, but I wanted to hear opinions before making any purchase.
How awesome is the Destroyer? I was aiming to purchase a new Bowtech when I came across the deal on the X-Force I bought. Although it is a few years old, it was a display model in an archery shop & never shot. For the price, I couldn't pass it up. The Bowtech will have to wait.
Thanks again!

I just got a Hoyt Maxxis on Monday. i put a rip cord on it too. I love it. I had a Trophy Taker Extreme on my Hoyt Powerhawk and it worked really well too. But I like the total containment rests a little more

Thanks for the response!
I checked out the website and the Ripcord Code Red looks really good. They even show footage of it being shot on an X-force bow, which answers that question. Combined with your responses, it impressed me enough that I just purchased one. I cannot wait to get the new rig set up & shooting! I'll put a post on here once I've had a chance to use it.
Happy shooting, guys! Thanks again.
