My buddy hunts with an Athens bow(not sure what model) and loves it. He has had some technical problems with it here and there but their customer service has been outstanding, according to him. And he took a little 4 pt this year off my ranch so he's got it going pretty well, I'd say.

I shot a PSE a few years back but sold it when I took a hiatus from hunting altogether. I'm seriously considering an Athens for next season to get back to it.

I'll have to ask him but for one, I know he had a problem with the arrow rest which was an older Athens model. He contacted them and they sent him a new one.

He's got something wrong, a vibration problem or something now. He told me he talked to the president of the company who said to finish out the season then send it in and they'd fix it.

My buddy always calls at inopportune times and wants to tell me everything that's going on and I can only half listen and then, I don't know crap about bows anymore so alot of it goes over my head.

yes they did have some problems with the original rest. they have since made changes to it and improved it. vibrations could come from anywhere i guess. could be the sight, rest....well just about anything. they will take care of it for sure! they are getting ready to release their new sight, which is very nice! i have heard they have a bunch of things coming out this year. i can wait!

If you ever get the itch for a roadtrip or are within like 20 miles of that shop swing in. The Athens bows are extremely well done!

Horacio -- Have your buddy check the Anchor String stop. Mine kept coming loose causing a buzz. I had to blue loctite the threads. Problem solved. He may have already done this if he talked to Jason Hudkins (owner). You CANNOT beat Athens Customer Service!
