Looks alot like some of the other cable/cable guard slide attached drop aways on the market today. It looks like a simplistic design. Is there anything on it or with it that separates it from the rest?(no pun intended).

I think this was the concept behind the design nothing fancy yet practical.
GKF wanted to make a fallaway that was simplistic in design without all of the extra bells and whistles yet still making it affordable enough for anyone who wants to use a fallaway.
Looks like a Very well built rest.
