Default Finger Release

On a scale of 1-10, how sensative have you set your trigger on your release? I took lessons from a Olympic archer when I first got into bowhunting and he told me from a scale from 1-10, to keep some pressure on the release and use around a 7. The problem I had with that, is that when under pressure with a shooter buck in bow range, that 7 felt like a 10. It seemed like it took forever to release the arrow. Not under pressure and shooting at home, that 7 felt like a 5. Has this happened to anyone? If so, did you lower your setting on your release? I'm thinking of trying it for this season. It's hard enough to stay calm with a buck in range and the last thing I want, is to freeze up on the trigger.

When you say hair trigger, you mean you have it set very sensative?
