What bow and is your old one straight or dog-legged? Either way, I kind of like the teflon coated steel rod made by Martin. Your bow should have the standard 3/8" rod as that is what almost all bows use these days.
The only thing to look at is whether your bow holds it in with a set screw or glue.

It's doglegged and in with a sest srew. Wen I was hunting I herd it make noys wen I puled the bow string back . What can I do about this ? I spit on it and workt it back and forth and the noyse went away. This has hapend lot's times
