Default Climber

I have been looking for a climber for bow hunting and have looked at summits. They look like a nice climber and are easy on the wallet. I didnt know if you guys have ever used them and like them or have used a different climber and thought it was great? Thanks

IMO you'll be much better off with a hang-on/steps or ladder. With climbers you need a fairly straight tree and must cut away all the branches as you go up.Those branches can help conceal you and as such allow you to set the stand lower. That provides a better shot angle.Other plus' is they're lighter, quieter to set up and you can leave them in place for another day.

i have a summit viper and love it, i've had it for 8 years now and it performs just like the day i bought it......i agree with bernie on liking hang on stands better but i hunt on alot of public land where if i leave my stand it will come up missing, thats why i use a climber, u won't be dissapointed bying a summit

We had some of our stuff stolen before opening day, so the hang- ons came out and I blind hunted and still am. I got a nice big doe and it was so awesome to be eye level with her. I had to use the blind because we were waiting on our climber to be delivered. It was very fast shipping and we, my husband and i both LOVE it. It is the Equalizer. We had never heard of it until we started researching climbers. Our best friend has used Summits for years and swears by them, but when I watched the video for the Equalizer, i wanted to try it. We got it with the regular seat. I like that for climbing, but my hubby wants the sling seat for comfort, he is ordering one for next year, not in the budget right now and the season is almost done. Mine is comfortable enough for me, i have no issues. He did buy the bow holder, but says it is a waste because the bow won't fit in it. He shoots a Hoyt Trykon. I have a DXT, but I hang mine on the tree. I just like it better that way.
So, to make a long post short - well too late for that now - I would go to the Equalizer site and watch the video. It goes on the tree so FAST and EASY, it's incredible, and i am 46 and not in the best of shape, and I can carry it on my back, no problem. Putting it together and packing it up after your hunt is a breeze, one strap and you're ready to go!
Check it out

I'm on my second Summit. I own a Viper classic (still have it for my BIL and nephew) and recently upgraded to the Titan, which is very comfortable for a big guy.
