I will be shooting the new tekans this year. So far I really like them. They fly great and cut a good size hole. The nice thing is the blades take less than 3lbs to deploy and they come standard with a 1.5" cutting diameter now. I cant really tell you about on game performance since they just came out with them this year but I expect really good results with them.

Montecs are super strong and durable heads that fly like darts. The only thing Im not really impressed about them is their out of the box sharpness, or lack there of. The strikers and tekans are much sharper out of the box. Other thanthat they are good heads.

Sure thing, good luck with what ever you choose. In my opinion there is no such thing as a wrong choise when choosing any of the G5 stuff, Ive had very good performance out of all there products.

I've never shot anything but Muzzy's, but the new Tekan's look awesome! is the in-flight diameter smaller than the older ones?? If so, I am going to try them out!

The in flight diameter is pretty small. I never took a real close look at the old tekans but I would say the new ones are as small or smaller than the rage heads.

got the montecs last year. At first was not excited about them because I couldn't get them really sharp. Decided to shoot at a deer and then make up my mind. After blowing completely through 2 deer and both running about 50 yards, even though i did not hit them in the right spot, I definetly will not change and am less concerned about the sharpness.

I SHOT THE TEKANS LAST SEASON WITH GOOD RESULTS. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THEY OPEN IN MY QUIVER. PUSHING THEM INTO THE BOTTOM TO GET A SECURE FIT WOULD OPEN THEM UP. I STILL HAVE SOME FROM BUT I BELIEVE I WILL TRY THE MONTECS THIS YEAR.
