Default anyone using HHA sights?

I was just at a 3D shoot and people tell me that they would not recoment hunting with the sight i have. Its an apex atomic 1 pin and it was hard to see to adjust in the first place but not i have my kwikee kwiver thing over it and its really hard to see. I saw that that HHAsights have sight tape or whatever and there is a bigger space in between yards. My sight is like one little nick equals five yards so its hard to get the adjustments right. Is it like that on the HHA sights? What sight would you recomend?

I have the HHA Optimizer Ultra on my bow and I Love it. The rheostat pin guard allows you to adjust pin brightness for all conditions, simple sight in, and the computer generated tapes are awesome.

I have an HHA OL-5000 and like it a lot. However, I'm not quite sure just how your sight adjusts, but what would be stopping you from getting a piece of white paper with a sticky back and put it on the sight. Then just cut it to fit and put your own sight marks on it. Would this work? Are your marks on the back where you can see them?

And FYI, I don't adjust my sight for hunting. From a tree stand I set the thing for 25 yards and leave it alone. Hold a tad low for anything 20 yards or less and a hair high at 30 yards. Too many things going on in my pea brain to be messing with a sight when a deer is approaching shooting range.

buckrubboy, That atomic one pin is not an in the field adjustable sight in the same way that an HHA is. It is designed to be sighted in at a certain distance and locked down tight. It is a non adjustable single pin hunting sight.

If you are looking for one that is adjustable in the field then HHA is top of the line and if this type of sight is what youwant you will be very happy with the quality and precision of HHA.

well i use my sight as an adjustable one i just dont tighten down the allen head all the way and no i can put a peice of paper when the sight goes becuase its not like most it is on the side of the side where it adjusts not the back. I was looking at the optimizer lite ol 5500.

I really like my 5500 HHA. Very bright, easily adjusted, silent when adjusted, brightness is adjustable which does come in handy more than I thought it would. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a single pin adjustable.

the HHA is awesome, I just dont like playing with stuff while a deer is walking in.I use a four pin .019 sight and leave it there. Way simpler, then all you have to do is therangecalculations, no moving of pins required. Now this might be a different story if I was spot stalking elk or something.

HHA for 3d. simple ol extreme rt900 for hunting. that will be my setup next year. i will also be shooting a different arrow tune for each as well so switching for hunting and 3d will be as simple as changing the stabilizer, sight, and grab the other arrows.

i always thought they looked like great sights. I have been using the vital bow gear sights for years and I really like them if you need another option. Good luck with your decision.
