I have an older API climber as well and it weighs around 33lbs. Many of the newer climbers are much lighter. Generally between 18-22lbs. A lot of guys looking for the lightest weight climber recommend the Lone Wolf sit and climb. But at the price of $350 it's going to be one of the more expensive. Summits sit and climb models are probably the most popular and weigh around 22lbs or so.
It is not the name brand of Lone Wolf or Summit and probably not as reputable but I picked up the Field and Stream Primetime climber at Dicks Sporting Goods for only $159 and it looks to be every bit the same as the summit all except for the rapid climber stirrups. Anyone know if I can get some rapid climbing stirups that I can put on my own?

Sweat and Stink or Sit and Climb?

I vote for Sit and Climb.
