If your just getting started I would suggest a one or two year old bow... If that not your style then a Fred Bear Element or check out a Guide Series Bow that is sold only at Gander Mountain. It is made by Bow Tech and has life time warranty on limb and riser, pretty good price for what your getting.

Remember this though, I would rather own a slightly used, year or two old, used bow than a cheap budget model that was new. Check the classified here on especially on archerytalk. I ever have an '06 Hoyt Trykon 28" 60-70# that I would sell ya for only $250 and I promise you.... it would be a FAR better choice than a lowend Bear or something similar. Good luck and good huntin' and welcome to the forums.
