I have a Yardage Pro 500 and love it. It has its limits but my purchase was a wise and long studied project and O purchased it from Cabela' s last summer.

I just got my 2003 Cabela' s Master Catalog and all their rangefinders had gone up in price so it also appears that I bought at the right time too.

nn,
I have a Bushnell yardage pro compact 600 I will sell to you for $180 if you are interested.
It is like new, I have only used it for ranging targets.
I have read a lot on rangefinders.
If I had it to do over again I would buy the Leica 800. Lots of folks love theirs, they cost a little more money.
I just don' t use mine. I do most of my hunting in the mountains and can' t justify carrying the extra weight up the mountain.
Let me know if you are interested.

Bushnell yardage pro sport it is simple , compact , perfect for bowhunting does not have all the bells and whistles but I got readings from as little as 6 yards and the price range is $99 - $170

I have the yardage pro compact 600 and wouldn' t give up. I use it for Bow and Slug Hunting. I range specific trees ahead of time. Well worth the money spent. also comes in handy at the range. we have 25,50&65. everyone was sighting in at a target they thought was 75 yds. I did to but It looked kinda close, low and behold it was only 65. everyone there thanked me for that one. Good Luck and Good Hunting.

Ditto on the Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport. I have had mine for about a year and a half now with no complaints whatsoever. It is plain and simple to use...compact and durable. Price is usually around $170 most places but there was a thread on here a couple months back where folks were buying them for $100 off of JCPenneys if I remember correctly.

I have a Nikon 400, got it on ebay for $205 + $5 shipping. It was reconditioned from the factory. I love it. It' s in the same category as the Buschnell Scout but just not as expensive. It has 8X magnification and measures yardages from 10-400. If the yardage is <100 it measures in half yard increments. Very nice.
