limbdriver questions

two questions on the limbdriver

How do your silence your rests, mine has a noticeable noise, when drawing back

Also the end of the rope, that goes through the rest Do you burn the end of the rope for added insurance

RE: limbdriver questions

I have 0 noise when I draw mine back...I just looked and am not sure where it would come from. When does it make the noise? When you first start drawing or just when it gets to its full up position.

As for the cord, I leave extra and loop it back up and serve it sbove the arm so that I don't have to use the set screw.

RE: limbdriver questions

What is making noise as you draw back? Is it the rest itself or the arrow sliding on the rest? I have some felt on the prongs to keep the arrow from making noise and mine is silent.

I just tied a small knot in the string that was left over. I figured that way I could have it in the event that I put it on a different bow.

I put some moleskin on the my rest to quiet it down. Not sure if thats the answer your looking for.
As for the string i just let it hang there.

RE: limbdriver questions

Yep a smal piece of moleskin done the trick - whisper quiet drawing

Good suggestions on the string, will probably tie a knot in it and leave it

thanks

Here's a pic of my set up. No noise from this at all. Quietest Drop away I've ever shot!

Mole skin on mine to quiet it down. On the string I tied a knot tight to the arm then burned it so the knot wouldn't come loose.

Had the same issue, but used electrcal tape on the prongs and it works great...so far. Also, I'm noticing a sound from the string itself. Sounds like a weak bass guitar at the shot, anyone else notice this or do I have rabbit ears.

I have not had this problem.

Setup correctly you will have no sound issues.

I received mine 2 days ago....wow! The only sound i've got is when I draw my bow. The sound's made by the friction of my arrow on the metal "V". I'll put something to kill that sound. Pictures to come with my new setup!;)

Dan, remind me again. Are you shooting the limbdriver on a guardian and/or general? For that matter, anyone else with a positive experience with the combination. Thanks.

Yep, I have one on my Guardian. I used it most of last hunting season and it performed flawless.

RE: limbdriver questions

Well I got mine in the mail today. Installed in minutes and shot very consistent groups within 40. I must say I like the way the rest is forced to go down and really allows for great clearance. My guardian isn't the fastest, but I can see how this rest is great for speedier bows. I had a little, and I mean very little, noise on the draw added some mole skin, just a thin strip and it's almost non-existent. I've owned a few drop aways in my time, but this one really is the best, IMO. Love it.

Kel,

Sounds like you've already got it figured out... but to answer your question, you know I'm originally a Zero Effect fan -- and I've got ZE's on my Constitution and Allegiance. I've got limbdrivers on my Guardian, 82nd and Diamond Marquis. Like you said: flawless.
