QAD three years no problems hunting or 3D...best rest I ever owned....No fletching contact and the arrow stays in place until that "Moment of Truth."

Installed it myself........

For every 1 person with a problem there are probably 10 (or more)that don't have any problem at all. I shoot at over 300 fps with a QAD Hunter w/ no issues. I put it on and French tuned it last summer and have had no problems since then.

The Hunter is theircheapest and supposedly most trouble prone rest and I have had none of the issues that people complain about. No rest kickback, noclearance issues, no problem with tuning. If you think you want one buy it and take your time tuning it.

I have them on both of my hunting bows. Shooting hunting weight arrows at about 260 fps, I'm having no problems. The 2" broadheadBlazer vanes that measure .600 widemay hit the top bar if you wrap the camo moleskin around it. I left it off - and ground about .040 off the bottom just for good measure. This rest has taken my broadhead shooting to a whole new level :)

QAD hunter rest for a few months now, and I LOVE it. Never been more accurate. No problems so far. I went from the WB which is a very good rest. The QAD gives you the full containment security of the WB and no vane contact. For $50 it is worth a try. If you don't like it, take it back.

I have shot the Ripcord the last two years and love it. Very dependable, only problem was arrow squeaking on draw but that can be fixed with a little mole cloth.

I would highly suggest the Limb Driver. Very simple to set up and it works great.

Just remember that you have to take anything you read on here and decipher truth from fiction. Or even the truth form personal preference.

For example, a lot of people on here hate the WB yet it is a very popular rest for hunters. It's not hard to set-up and tune and is accurate a lot further out than many people give it credit for when tuned properly. Had one on my bow at first and had no problems with it. However, I love to tinker so I bought a drop away.

I've had mine 2 seasons now, never had a bit of trouble with it. Best rest I've ever owned. Its quiet, smooth drawing, works flawless. I don't think you can beat it. It keeps your arrow off the bow shelf, total contains the arrow so impossible to fall off. I've had wind blow my arrows off rests in past while on a stand. Once you draw back, if you don't take the shot, just let down, and arrow goes back to ready position, still remaining off the shelf. Its very simple to setup on your own. It gives you everything a WB does plus the advantage of NO CONTACT. The hunter version is cheaper, and whats on my hunting bow. My groups got tighter when I started using it. Trust me you won't be disappointed with it. I don't talk well about anything unless I truly like it, and had no problems with it. I'm not a bragger just becasue its what I happen to own. Heck if you buy one, and don't like it I'll buy it from you!! ;)

As I posted earlier I had a QAD Hunter that I've just replaced with a HD model about 2 weeks ago. I put it on and the tuning process took almsot no time at all. Set the left to right up eye balling down the shaft and set the nock 1/8" high and I was good to go. I'm not sure why people are saying they are so hard to tune?

Dave, I found out they can be the easiest rest to tune or a nightmare. I have setup 3 of em. And the last one had me scratching my head. I had to move the rest 1/4" away from centershot. I tried every timing known. But only way I could get ok arrow flight was close to the riser. I put a old TM hunter on and it was fine, and then put a ripcord, and it flew great. So I sold iton Ebay. I never had trouble on a commander or guardian with them, but my singlecam libery hated it.

I'd like to play with a bow that is hard to tune to see what the problem is myself. I had a split limb single cam Bear that had centershot tuning issues even with a TM rest. Maybe I've just been lucky that the Allegiance tunes so well.

I've used theQAD Hunter rest ($50) on two bows, the original Bear Truth and now the Bear Truth 2. Not the fastest bows on the market, but still very fast. All I've ever used to tuneis a cheap center shot tool. Both bows were shooting bullet holes on the very first shot. I think that says something positive both about QAD rest and the Bear bows. They are solid products.

From my experience, they seem to like binary cams. But then others said just the opposite. I know I like the features of the QAD much better than the ripcord. I can tell this ripcord is going to annoy me where if I let down on an animal, so is the rest. Where the QAD will not.

The QAD's seem to like my binary cam so I'd agree with that. That's a shame that the QAD will not work for you. My buddy has a drop away with just the fork and I can't tell you how many times I've had to reposition the arrow for him when he goes to let down and it kicks off.
