Need New Bow Sight

I am in need of 2 new sights for me and my son. we both have mathew legacys I am a 29" draw and he is 27". I like single pins he likes multi pins we are both new to bowhunting. I tried a three pin and it was ok. Do not want to spend 200.00 on a sight , just wanta good sight. I see alot of extreme, dead nuts and spott hogg any info will help.

Look at the sword line of sights. Quality sights that are affordable. http://www.swordacu-site.com/

Copper John and Spott Hogg make some great sites. Both companies have 'hunter' class models for under $100...

The Apex Gear Nitrus is a nice sight, too. Retail is $99, you can find them cheaper.

I got one of the Apex inferno it is a great well built sight for 70 bucks sturdy and the fiber optics run thru a tube instead of outside it comes with 5 pins i took 4 off I could have bought any I just liked the way the fiber was protected oh and it comes with a light I thought it was a good deal had it for 5 months now and would not trade it for a 200 dollar sight

Spot Hogg makes the best multi pin sights and they have several models to choose from.

HHA makes the best single pin sight I have seen. I have one on each of my bows.

I find that funny!! Lots of things you better remember to do. Shoot until it's second nature. I leave mine set for the close shots and if I have time to range a Deer out there a little surely I'll think to move the sight.;)It only takes 2 seconds:D

I have the G5 and really like it... My buddy just bought a Viper sight and is thrilled with it.
The Copper John's are nice too.

I have an older Spothog on my bow. The barebones one and i love it. I was looking at sights (my hubbies b-day) and they have some nice ones for under a hundred bucks. Right now the sight he has is a plastic ring and the fibers are not protected so one has allready started to fall out, and the ring has broken so we had to glue it. Whatever you decide make sure it is durable. I suggest going to a local archery shop, they know their stuff and you'd be helping the little guy.

Don't buy any Viper Sight. I purchased one and had pin issue and there customer services was the worst I have ever worked with.

I am also in the market and like the Truglo Extreme Micro Adjust. Anyone have any issues with these sights...they seem pretty solid for the $.

I have a Montana Black Gold sight. I think I may buy a Tru Glo sight in the near future? My wife has a Tru Glo & it is much brighter than my Montana Black Gold.

On my left handed bow I have been using the HHA5500 single pin sight, has never given me any problem, normally around 139.00

Another vote for the HHA line of sights.....Super bright and like Dan said alot of things to remember when hunting, so if you can't move your sight, maybe you shouldn't be out there in the first place

I LOVE MY VIPER pro2000. never had an issue, my local shop carries all the replacement parts I need, and he said the reson he carries them over the sword is becuase of the lack of customer service and spotty qualiy of the swords. I went in looking for an accusite, and came out with the viper, and couldnt be happier!!

First off get a good pair of sights for your son dont buy yourself an good set and then buy him crap. I personnally like the g5 optix line of sights. Good quality optics, well built all machined metal unlike the apex which are pot metal, and there very light in weight being there made of magnesium. and if you want to change the size of the pins it is very cheap to do so. Theay are also floating smart pins aswell. As you see I love them I have had coper johns, cobras, spothoggs and several others but these I like easy to use and adjust

Go with the sword sight. Very solid and pins are brightest I've seen.

I have always shot a trophy ridge 3 pin sight, this year I got a new bow and went to a tru glo RANGE ROVER 1-PIN . Most of my hunting is in bottoms and you would be lucky to get a shot over 25yards because of thick brush. The pin is right on to about 28yards, and doesn't drop much after that. The sight is also brite and I don't use a light with this that I need with the trophy ridge. It is just less to think about and you can shoot to see where your drop off is and adjust accordingly. Get the setup you are comfortable with, it's like buying a car.

I've been shotinga 3 pin Trophy Ridge Matrix but just bought a G5 Optics LE. It looks like a good solid sight.

Actually, Go with the Hot Dot on Ebay for around 80 dolars. My buddy has one and I got to check it out today. That thing has got me thinking about getting one and I just bought my sight not too long ago! I really can't afford it right now though so I PROBABLY shouldn't?
