Dan - has Slicktrick always used the Solingen blades? There is a thread over on the AT forum that shows a Slicktrick head that appears to have soft blades. The blades are really torn up from allegedly justgoing partway througha deer. Could this be an older generation head?
Only for a little over a year:DI've shot Tricks since 03 and I'd shoot the 03 models over anything else I've used. The 07 and 08 models are way better than the 03. Plenty of Trick supporters on AT and a lot of them still buy from me. It could have been an early head, Who knows?

I'm probably going to be going afield this fall with a few Rage 2 blades as well as a couple of Slick Tricks in my quiver. I need a fixed head to shoot through the mesh of the ASAT ground blind. And I think the Slick Trick may be a little better penetrator for larger game like elk and bison. But those Rage 2 blades are the real deal!

Also, these graphic photos of what the hole through the ribs looks like after the animal is skinned and hung in your garage . . . . . not sure how representative this is of how well the broadhead kills. What matters here is the size of the hole in the first ten seconds after the arrow hits. After the animal is dead, the flesh starts to shrink up around the wound channel and makes it look larger. I'm more concerned with how quickly the broadhead puts the animal on the ground.
Roskoe, I watched the Doe go down from my treestand! This picture was taken an hour after she died! No flesh shrinkage here!;) The ST's are the best FIXED blade head out there, I've been shooting them for years! The rage are the best Mechanical head out there and will continue to shoot them as well!
