RE: buying a new Bow

hey guys my new bow finally arrived will pickup this week. I was talking will the local proshop does one need a 3 pin sight or more pins with a DXT shooting around 321fps out to say 50 yards or is 3 enough havn't had a bow shooting this fast before the local pro seems to think 3 enough what you all think:D?

At that speed three pins should be enough, as far as having a modern compound it has to do more with the total experience or joy of shooting. Sure an older bow can kill deer and sure Bryon Fuerguson can do some amazing things with a long bow, but do you ever notice how close his targets are? He has also been shooting for many many years and has probably shot hundreds of thousands of arrows. I guess my point is if you really enjoy shooting your bow you will practice more and be more accurate and deadly with it. With my current bow i just dont enjoy shooting it, thats why im in the market for a new bow and will really take my time to choose one that i just love to shoot, have a great one guys.....

Best advice out there. Shoot a few and pick the one you like the best. Everybody has their favorite but in the end you will have to make up your own mind. There is a lot of info out there and it can overwhelm you.

I would suggest to first find a pro shop that has a good reputation. Then shoot several bows. I had my heart set on a Hoyt, but ended up with a BowTech Guardian. Not much differences in the top end bows, get one that fits you and feels good to you.
