Default New Bow...

Hey Guys I just picked up a new bow at Basspro this weekend. This is the first time I have owed/used a bow. I must say I have caught the fever. I got a PSE package that came with the sight, rest. The guy at Basspro then work a while with me and fitting it for me and putting the kisser and everything. My question to you guys is what things should I add or replace. I don't need to do it right away because right now I am just practing and getting good. Just so you know I got a Scott Mongoose Release. But I am open to suggestion on everything else. Let me know why you like that product also.

Default RE: New Bow...

It depends on how much you want to spend. The package deals come with sights and rests that are afordable but you can obviously get better. You'll need to deside on what type of rest you want or what is more important to you. Drop aways are more forgiving and accurate in my opinion. Prong rests or WhiskerBiskets hold your arrow better in hunting situations with out it falling off in dire situations. You'll need a quiver, if you want your bow to be silent you may want to buy a stabalizer and limb silencers. The possiblilities are endless.

I in your case like you said would consentrate on shooting and becoming as accurate as you can. It doesn't matter what type of bow you have when that deer walks by at 20 yards if you are accurate and you can make the shot the deer will die and your goal is acheived.
