RE: Homemade Bowcase??

I have the same problem with finding a bow case. I have a Ben Pearson bow that a neighbor gave me. My wife bought a Plano hard case from Walmart but the bow was too big for the case. For now, I have been using my duffle bag from the army. It works to keep all my gear together and allows me to lock it to keep little hands form messing with things. I have thought about making a case for it.I got the idea from my mom. She made a case for one of her hammered dulcimers. She made it from vinyl (I think) and thick foam padding. I can't remember if she use velco or a zipper to close it. She use the case for several years. I think she was still using it when she sold that instrument. The case had straps to carry by. I don't know if she ever took any pictures of the case or if she ever made a pattern for it. I haven't tried to make a case yet. I hope it turns out for you.

Was wondering how did the homemade bow case turn out if you made it yet? If you did, I would like to see a picture? Best of luck.

I used to shoot a Bear Whitetail Master before I got my Instinct. I belive the axle to axle on the Whitetail Master is 45''. I used a$20.00 Flambeu hard case from Wal-Mart and had plenty of room in it. If you can't get your bow in that case its longer than 49''.
