RE: Scent Lok garmet bag?

To get the smell out, I turned it inside out and washed in the washing machine with baking soda, then took it outside and sprayed with scent killer.......turne right side out then and then filled with leaves and dirt and let it sit outside for about a week. After that no more vinyl smell.......
ScentLok specifically prohibits the use of scent killers or scented products to prevent voiding their warranty. You could also just as easily have done that with any airtight plastic sack such as the Hunter Specialities Scent Safe bag and just left a sock filled with aquarium charcoal inside it to adsorb odors. It would've been vastly cheaper, infinitely renewable, and just as effective.

Aquarium charcoal-$2 per lb.
ScentLok charcoal-$25-100 per lb.
Both are temporary, so why spend more? ;)

I don't think this thread had anything to do with activated carbon.......but great way to slip your hidden agenda in there. Why not start a scent lok bashing thread instead of comment on this guys thread about a scent lok brand bag?

I love the giant Ziplock bags. I put my clothes in the ziplocks, and then put the ziplocks in airtight plastic totes. I can't see anything working any better than that.
