Default Gore-tex OR Cabellas Rain Suede Dry Plus?

Has anyone tried the Cabellas rain suede? How does this compare in quality to Gore-tex?

I bought a Cabela's Super Slam Camo parka this year for the late season. The outer shell is the rain suede or dry plus. This coat completely rocks! NEVER got cold or wet( at least not where the jacket was covering. It's a thick coat, so it may have leaked a little and I didn't notice, But everything I saw(rain, snow, sleet) rolled off it like a duck. I'll be getting a pair of the pants next season.

I have a rain suede pants and jacket set. I have had it for 5 years now and It is excellent! Super quiet, and you will stay dry. I just got an insulated silent suede bibs and parka with the dryplus lining for Christmas. These are not as quiet as the rain suede rain suite, but they are still fairly quiet and after a few washing I expect they will become more so. I can't see any product being more effective than the Cabelas dryplus for keeping you dry.

The Functionality of the rain suede is fine. I had Rain Suede pants, But I threw them in the dryer by accident, might as well threw them out the window. Stick with gortex.

I have had Dry Plus clothing for about five years now and I have hunted in pouring down rain and snow storms and have never gotten wet .As far as I am concerned I will always buy Dry Plus clothing. As a matter a fact I just got a pair of Dry Plus boots the other day and I am sure they will be just as good as goretex.Cabelas also stands behind there products as good as anyone out there.
