Default New Ol Man recall Pins

[8D]Well a for sure thumbs up on speedy customer service. I got my pins today and I just emailed them last Saturday.

The pins have a wingnut that is attached to the pin via a thin steel cable. They no longer have the groove for the C Clip to fit in. I can see how this could be much safer as there is no chance of the clip coming off of the wing nut is on secure. Not sure how they pins were coming out and causing accidents as the pin would have to fight gravity and fall up if the clip did come off.

I do see a down side to this fix. Just sitting here at my desk in the comfy AC with no skeeters and no 1 mile hike before hand I have a trouble getting the nuts on correct. The steel cable is not all that long and not flexable. You have to have the wingnut in just the right spot to get it on without cross threading it. I can see this as a problem @ 4 am in the dark.

But none the less Safer and speedy Service!!!

Is it Oct YET????????????

Glad to hear they replaced the pins so fast. If it's safer that's always better even if it's a pain to use.

It's a pain to use on purpose.

If they have to make you think about your safety at 4 am in the morning then all the better.
