I'm in the samepredicament my self, I would like to try a drop-away but can't pry myself away from my always reliable wisker biscut. Are the drop-aways a headache at all? How much accuracy do you really get?

WB from a well tuned bow for hunting is about as fail safe as you can get for bowhunting. I have tried the drop aways and Ilike a few of them but I live by the K.I.S.S. rule when it comes to my time in the woods.

only negative I've ever heard about the wb is that the shooter sometimes tends to not allow the arrow to go all the way through the wb in order to see the impact of the arrow on the target, but thats all shooter error and not the wb's fault.

I have shot drop away rests for 3-D's, but I have witnessed at least 4 of the cables that lift the rest up break in the middle of competition. Therefore, for hunting I will stick with my Whisker Bisquit. I am a firm believer in the K.I.S.S principle wherever Murphymight be around.

Had a fall away, went to WB, switched back to a fall away. I found that shooting far distances 50+ yds for practice wasn't what the WB is built for. It's a great close range hunting rest. I practice @ 50-60yds, & it magnified any bowarm movement.I've read that arrows on drop awaysaren't affected as much by movement of your bow arm as standard rests are.I also notice a little flatter trajectory, & speed. Inow own the Vital Gear Kaz Away rest.Definite improvement in arrow flight. Kind of expensive though, but I thought, if my bow is top dollar/performance, why not the rest. I am very happy of the switch. I don't plan on shooting anything over 40yds, but only practice long range. One other thing, there was a post here earlier that showed a WB with a high speed camera rolling. Quite amazing the amount of movement it had & how it affects the vanes on the arrow. You might be able to find it here. Anyone know where it's at? You'll be glad you switched.

And just to buck the trend, I went from a drop zone to the WB and didn't notice any lose in accuracy, out to any range I shoot. Shot my buck antelope 2 years ago at 60 yards, shot my doe antelope last year at 48 yards, shot my turkey 2 years ago at 34 yards, this years turkey at 11 yards, shot my whitetail buck 2 years ago at 9 yards, last years doe whitetail at 7 yards, and my bull elk at 23 yards last year. Can't complain about accuracy from a well tuned bow and a practiced archer![8D]

I have recently purchased the QAD LD fall away rest. It was easy to set up.During paper tuning, it was easy to acquire the bullet hole tear. I used to have the WB deluxe model and it worked great too. I have no complaints about the WB other than I wanted to have a drop away for more accuracy and no arrow contact during the release of the arrow. I'm all smiles here with the QAD LD.
