i have not shot this bow.I wanted to but the archery shop that carries hoyt did not stock this bow.I did shot the vectrix and liked everything about the boe except at the end of the draw cycle it would just snap back to the wall, other than that it was awsome.Would like to have shot the longer pro 38 just to compare.I like a longer more forgiving bow and now have my sights on the commander by bowtech. sweetttttttttt!

I believe that this 07' model is based on the protec which was a very goodbow throughtout it's whole production.

These are great bows, IMO. My primary hunting bow is the Pro Tec and I have shot the 38 Pro - very similar. Both are very forgiving and smooth; capable of arrow-shafts-touching groups. And not all that slow either. My 60.7 lb. Pro Tec can develop 282 fps with a 324 grain arrow.

I shoot the 38 pro with the cam and 1/2. I love the bow. It handles great and not only rivalsmy pro-tec, but I like it a smidge better. I got the witches out 3 kills ago, it should be ready for antelope in 4 weeks..... I started out shooting indoor 3-d with it at first, it is a tack driver on the range too. I set it up for hunting and now it is my primary bow.

The bear in my avatar fell to the 38 pro.........

SWEET shooting bow. The cam and a half version is a little slower than the Vector, and both are unbelievable smooth and quiet. And yes, they are also very forgiving.
