RE: Judo points

a Judo point will do the job just fine - taken several rabbits, etc through the years

yeah you definately want the G5 SGH, the standard spring style judos will not last long after repeated shots in the ground. the G5 is the same as the judo as it also will not burry itself.

One thing I have found with the judo points is with a fairly fast bow, the springs only last for a couple of shots. If you do alot of vermint practicing you will save money in the long run going with SGH's. Specialy considering after the springs are shot on a judo the arrows will get burried in grass.

i use judo and small game heads for gophers but like the small game heads best.they do more damage and dont seem to whistle as much.thus the gophers dont seem to duck them as much.and from what they do to gophers im sure they would kill a rabbit easy.oh and another bonus is that they dont get grass and guts built up on them like the springs on a judo.

I use to keep a bludgeon tip in my quiver for practice at vermin. I shot a racoon dead square in the chest with it at 18 yards, knocked the piss out of him but he took of running and was nowhere to be found. That was out of a bow producing about 76 foot pounds of energy so I know it had to hurt. Now I use G5 small game head, yeah they cost more but last alot longer than any judo point I have ever seen.
Man, I'm amazed that didn't blow through that coon! I shoot 70#, had a bludgeon point blast right through a groundhog at 20 yards.

I guess the biggest problem that I have had with G5 SGH's besides the price, is that 1 or more of the 3 claws have snapped off. I sent 2 of the heads back to G5 and they were great and sent me two new ones. But those snapped also.

The bludgeons are way cheaper, won't bury in the grass and if they eventually brake, I'm not out of that much money.

These bludgeons pass right through everything from birds, squirrels and groundhogs.

Somerset, I was pretty suprised the bludgeon didnt do more to the coon either. The only time I have had a claw snap off on my SGH's is when I hit gravel and nothing fairs well against rock.
