G5 Meta Peep didn't help.

G5 Meta Peep didn't help.
I put a G5 meta peep on my Black Ice expecting to gain a couple fps.
G5 says it wieghs 6 grains.. Well it does.
After running it through the chrono. I was confused. No gain in speed, at all.
Then I weighed the 1/4 fletcher tru-peep I took of the string. It weighs 10 grains. I guess I should have weighed it first before I spent the $ ,but the blue color looks good.

I just recently had one put on my Bowtech Tribute and I really like it. I am having a 3/16" one put on my new Whisper Creek Sweet Demise. It seems that with the overall thinness of the peep the 1/4" seems overly large.

Couple of feet? You mean like going from 287-289.
I don't think their claim said from which peep you were switching. ArthurP once told me how much each grain changes speed. It was much more than what you have. Can't remember.

If you want to gain some speed on your Black Ice then get a floating yoke cable and string from gibblet, put them on as well as the CSS from Meanv over on AT.
Before I changed mine out I was getting 264fps with the change I am now shooting 274fps thats in target mode with a Speciality Archery Hooded ball peep with a #2 clarifier which weighs around 15 to 20 grains nothing else on the string apart from a string loop, bow weight 60lb 28" draw with 316gr arrows and the bow is whisper quite

I put a meta peep on my vucan and didn't gain squat, If they wouldn't have bragged it up I wouldn't have bought one. I am a sucker for gimmicks. $11.50 for 6 grs. of peep. thats around $4000.00 per pound, ha ha you got to love it.

Funny I spotted this thread... Just today I read in the latest issue of Bowhunting World that a person could gain around 6 fps by changing to a Metapeep... I called "bogus" as soon as I read it.
