I just went thru this.I started last fall, & made my decision the 1stweek in Jan. I bought a Bowtech Tribute. I went & shot as many different brands as I could. U will notice a definite difference between models, even though its the same manufacturer.Rule out which ones u dislike. The hard part is when u have narrowed them down to just a few. Look @ the features, which ones are quiet, speed, ease of draw, etc. If you're using a release, use your own.

Try and find a local proshop that carries the most brands of bows. For instance, I just drove an hour and 10 minutes one way last month to a shop that carries Bowtech,Darton, Hoyt, Mathews, Martin, andRoss. It's easier to chose when you have all ofem' lined up ready to shoot one after the other. Then pick the one that feels right for you. Personally I went with.........well just look below.
