Default G5 Montec or Striker

Hey guys/gals

I've made up my mind on going to the G5 Broadheads but I'm torn (heheh) on which one to go with. I've heard great things about both the Montec and Striker's and I would just like to hear from those that have used them on what you think. Is one better than the other?

I searched for this topic but I didn't find any links if there is a thread out there please point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Flip a coin dude....one's just as good as the other. I think the Montec has a slightly larger cutting diameter though.

I would go with the striker because of the replacement blades and sharpness. Montecs are tough to get sharp while the Strikers....[:-]ver sharp.

I second MO_Bowhnter. Have both. Montec's aren't nearly sharp enough out of the package, strikers are razor sharp and you can replace the blades if needed vs. sharpening them yourself.

I have shot both heads. The Montec is hard to sharpen and not nearly as sharp as the striker. The striker has a larger cutting diameter, and flies great. I would go with the striker. I plan on shootin that head as long as they are on the market.

Thanks for the info guys.

What are you finding as far as a practice head that flies the same as the strikers. I normaly practice with what I shoot, I might do that with a set of old blades. but I'm always open to ways of saving some money

Both are very durable and have a lot of support from folks on here. The Striker has replaceable blades, which to me was the biggest selling point. I also found that the strikers are easy to tune and fly as well as any broadhead I've ever shot. I've taken one buck with them this year and they definitely did a great job. I highly recommend them.
