1st pic is a Rocky mountain Gator and 2nd is a Marden Vortex. There are better choices of broadheads availible, but if you insist on using those I suggest high poundage as the very large cutting diameter of those mechanicals are energy sappers. Also avoid sever quartering shots.Good luck

I would agree with george on the Vortex, but the gators do not require high poundage due o the way they open to the rear instead of having to jacknife all the way around. The Gators make a huge hole I do know that though because I have used them in the past with great sucess.

They make a large hole due to the large cutting diameter, which in turn requires more energy to make a hole of that diameter.I stand by my previous statements.

My bad thought you had 2 different heads there. That is the Gator, the closed head resembles the Vortex when closed.Good luck,if ya want a good shooting well made mechanical try the Rocket Steelheads or the Rocky Mountain Snipers.JMHO
