Lonewolf treestands?
I'm in the market for a new treestand. I almost exclusively bowhunt. I was looking at lonewolf treestands mainly for the lightweight, construction, and ease of use. Does anyone have any experience with them?

RE: Lonewolf treestands?
Sure do, I have two "Sit and Climb" stands and wouldn't use any other. Like you said fatmallard, they are light, compact for carrying and very secure with that traction belt around the tree. I also like the built-in bow holder for easy access! They aren't the most comfortable but they are super quiet setting up. And yes, they're not cheap, but you usually get what you pay for!;)

I have a hang on with their climbing sticks for getting up. Great stand and very quite and very mobile.

I have one of the hang-ons as well. Worth every penny. Best stand I ever used. Easy to hang and quiet.

I have a lone wolf hang on, climbing sticks and the sit'n'climb. In my opinion they are the best out there. I've had four other climbers before the lone wolf and none compared.
Actually the owner of company is a very successful big buck bowhunter and theres an article in Bowhunter Magazines Whitetail Special 2006 about him hunting and taking a 184" Wisconsin Whitetail. Once you have one of these stands its you can tell it was designed by a successful hunter. Happy Hunting Dan |

He sold the manufacturing part of the company but still owns the name! The production is moving from Wi to Ill. He is still running the accessories department! Good luck this season! |

RE: Lonewolf treestands?
I own a Lone Wolf Sit-n-Climb and really likeit. Its compact ( 2.5-3 inches)when folded up and one of the lighter tree climbers on the market.Stable andabsolutely quite. If you dont mind paying the few extra $$ its well worth it. I think its fairly comfortable, at least compared to my old Summit Saber which is now retired since I purchased the Lone Wolf.

RE: Lonewolf treestands?
Lone wolfs are great, I have two. A hand climber and a hang on. But you should check out www.chippewawedgeloc.com/ I have hunted from these and they are as good if not better. Only thing they don't do is han offset right to left. But they do rig to the tree in like 10 seconds, no more fumbling for the strap around the tree while your hanging onto the stand.

RE: Lonewolf treestands?
I bought one last year and I can honestly say that I will never buy another treestand again. I bought the one that converts from open in bow season, to closed with gun rail for rifle season. Its definitely the way to go! Its expensive, but well worth the money. Its super quiet, folds flat, and is lightweight. No more squeaks! My only complaint is its a little narrow, but i CAN DEAL with that.
