I used one for the entire season last year and loved it. Just like you, I found the instructions, and the DVD to be top notch. I never had any problems with it while hunting in all conditions. It never made noise, broke, or came loose in any way. It was great for stalking, while I don't usually do much of that in Southern Illinois, I found myself putting the sneak on a big doe last year. It was nice to not have to worry about the arrow coming off of the rest as I was moving. It was also great to be able to draw quickly, under stress, at an odd angle, and not have to worry about the arrow falling off the rest. I definitely enjoyed shooting with it more than any other rest in my 16 yrs. of bow hunting. I would shoot one for this season, but I think set-up would be a bit difficult on a recurve.;)

I have to agree with WashingtonHunter. STOP IT YOU'RE KILLIN' ME! I just got my new Bowmender press and really enjoyed taking my bow apart with it for the 1st time last night. Now I'll have to go out and get a laser centershot tool. What next? I guess you'll be showing me your arrow saw? LOL!!!

I had tried to put the old styleMZE on my allegiance last year but couldn't get the clearance I needed from the limited amount of pickup the cables allowed from theparallel limbs. You are basically working with only 1 1/4" of slide travel with the VFT limb pocket / limbangles.

I did buy one of the Next Generation MZE's when they came out this spring and installed it on my Tribute. It is still working flawlessly.

It is a great rest. By far the most silent and consistent of any drop away I have used.

I also did a short review on the rest if anyone is interested in reading it.

Greg, I agree that it looked Frankensteinish as well. ;)

However, after reading your review and seeing pics actually installed on my type of bow, I will give this rest plenty of thought when the time comes to purchase a new one.

This is why I come to this site. I have to give out kudos to everyone. The reviews are the best, the opinions are well backed, and you guys are some of the most knowledgable BOW GUYS I have ever encountered. Several of you have already been more than willing to answer some of my questions, and this review was one even I ( not being very knowledgable ) can understand. Thanks to all of you who take time to help us "dummies", cause it is the only way we ( I ) will get smarter and be a better bowhunter. I love this site.

Pastorkhris, I received your question via PM this morning, and I hope you don't mind -- I elected to answer here as I thought it a question others might have as well. His question was: How much containment does the Muzzy provide?

Without pushing the arrow into the little rubber arrow holder which Muzzy provides -- which you can see affixed on my shelf in one of the pics -- you can turn the bow exactly horizontal and not have the arrow fall out of the rest; in other words, the hook will hold the arrow all the way until the point of the bow starting to turn upside down.

Now, if you were to push the arrow into the rubber holder device, you can flip your bow 360 degrees around and the arrow won't budge. Upon drawing the bow, the rest arm will gently pick the arrow up and out of the holder with complete silence.

Unless you plan on hunting upside down, you can pretty much be guaranteed that this rest will pick up your arrow and position it properly for your shot! :)If you do want to hunt upside down, just be sure and push the arrow into the rubber holder, and you'll be good to go. ;)
