BowTech vs. UltraTec
I shot my new (2006) BowTech Old Glory against my old (2002) Hoyt UltraTec through the chronograph last night.
29" 500 grain arrow (A/C Superslim 340 wrapped w/ 4" QS and 125 grain head) 71# / 30" draw UltraTec (single cam): 242 fps (65.0 lb. ft. KE) Old Glory (smooth mods): 257 fps (73.3 lb. ft. KE) The BowTech has noticably less noise and way less hand shock but it weighs about 1/2 pound more than the already heavy UltraTec. |
RE: BowTech vs. UltraTec
thats awefully slow for 30inch draw and 71 lbs

The 4 year newer bow shot faster....cool. Both are quite respectable for that weight. I agree, I wouldn't shoot an arrow that light at a bear either.....

RE: BowTech vs. UltraTec
yup now put it against a newer cam& 1/2 ultratec and measure the hand shock...
It's hard to compare these two bows ,as I'm sure your aware of the gains in bow technology |
