Default Help chosing a 3D deer target!

I have never shot a 3D target. I am planning to buy a 3D deer target for my 11 year old son and I to use. Is there a particular brand or model I should be lookingfor or staying away from? I see there are an awful lot of different sizes and brands available.
I could surely use you guidance.

Thanks

I looked at a few today at Sportsman's warehouse. The Glendel buck is nice but the Gelndel Full Rut Buck looked awesome but it's huge.
Is see the Riverbottom buck is very tiny and their larger one is very close to the size of the Glendal buck.
I wish I had written down the prices and the information. The Glendel Full rut was $199 the Glendel was $159. The River Bottom Buck was $99 and their bigger one was somewhere around $149 if I remember right.
Thanks for the information.

The Glendel buck is my choice, youjust can't beat it.
This target will last a long time and you and your son can shoot any broadhead ( fixed or machcanical ) and fleid points too.
When come time to replace the core, the price is really not that exspensevie.

Thanks RD. That's three for three for the Glendel Buck. Is there a smoking deal on them somewhere? I guess I'll check E bay?

Thanks again for the tips guys.

Has anyone used the Cabelas targets? I was looking and their large deer target (52" at the shoulders like the Glendel Full Rut buck) is $119 vs. the $199 for the Glendel Full Rut buck.
In your opinion is there a big enough difference to justify the extra $80?

The $80 is well worth it. The GlenDelFull Rut has a 4-sided core and you can get your arrows out of the target pretty easy

Ummm Glendale layered. The Vital version tears up too easy and is more expensive to replace.
