Default needs Recommendations for a bow

Hi all, I currently have a Horton Crossbow, but I am looking to buy a Compound Bow, something affordable, not too pricey. I am about 5'10" and weigh about 145lbs, I'm a small guy so I want a bow that's not too bulky and not too hard to pull back. I would appreciate all recommendations and any help you all could be in assiting me to find a bow. I'm even open to buying a used bow if anyone is selling.

Thanks!
Brian

Go to a pro shop and look at used Hoyts, Bowtechs, and Mathews. Used bows 1-2 years old depreciate worse than a mobile home. Try them out and see what fits you and what shoots the best.

As already said used bows are a great value. If you want new then Diamond or Reflex are great value also.

Hey Pearl Jam,

Check out this link... These guys have a huge selection of bows and all the information you could ask for.

www.huntersfriend.com

Check out the big "bow selection guide" feature on their site. It explains everything in detail...

I have a Bowtech Pro 40, 2 cam and love it.I hada bow made by a popular company, the bow most people are buying now and the cam split in half so other than Bowtech- Hoyt, Diamondor Reflex.

P.S. The company did fix the cam and replace the limbs, but not what I need to happen while hunting.
Just my 2 cents

well whats your price range? No one mentioned browning. I have a Browning and love it,its the F5 Tornado, its not pricey at all and its got a shorter ata and will still shoot 300 fps its worth taking a look at. Shoot it you wont be disappointed

I personally shoot a BowTech, but have shot a PSE in the past. Both are great bows. I would highly recommend a PSE for a beginning bow.

Shoot an Oneida if you can. You'll be surprised.
