Did you get the levelers? If so you need to watch the screws that go into the T handles that are used to adjust for the taper of the tree. They are located on the tree side of the levelers (Gripping side).Need to put loctite on mine. The only thing i have done so far for noise is put rubber bands around the uprights for the b/h adapter to keep them quiet while walking.Hope this helps you.

I bought a Tree Lounge just before season last year. I love the stand for the comfort on all day hunts, but have had the same problems as you on setting it up. The outward weighted design of it (especially with the bowhunter adapter/platform on it) while attaching it to the tree makes for an awkward and noisy set up. Having an extra person around makes it much easier to set up, but isn't always possible. I tend to set my stand up the night before, where I can make a little extra noise without much consequense and then step into it in the morning (not a fix, but an option). I use an API stand for those quick morning hunts where I have to carry a stand in and be a bit stealthier.
For carrying the stand, I have cut a couple of small squares of carpet to place between the seat and foot climber sections where the metal mainly meets and bound the stands together with the safety strap. That tends to quieten down the rattle some.
Good luck and if you find a revolutionary tactic, let us all know!

I own one for three years now and every time I am going to hunt from it I take it in the woods the day before. I have almost always killed deer in that stand. The carpet works to but it is a pain.

I picked up this stand at the start of the season this year. When setting up I strip the extensions so they are as short as possable so there is less weight sticking out also I wrapped duct tape aroud the back ends where any metal will touch. This has made the set up much quieter for me. This is the most comfortable stand I've ever sat in.

I have had a Tree Lounge for about 12 years now and think still to this day that it is one of the best ivestments that I have ever made.
I used some expanding foam sprayed up inside my different telescoping tubes to kill the noise that would be made if you bump the sections together while assembling on the tree.
