sorry i missed this for a while. here's a link. the important part is to fold them in half so you double the number of whiskers that will be on each side. soetimes i fold them twice and make super - mini - whisker puff balls. http://www.socalarchery.com/Information/String_Silencers.htm

I use string leeches. The newer ones. They hold up great. I do replace them every once in a while but they work great so its worth it.

I started out using the string leech and had the same problem. They would fly off in no time. I then went to the limb saver string silencer, same problem. I ended up using a string silencer made by Alpine. Very durable and will not fly off.
