It is made by PSE. I called them once and gave them the SN off of my PL1 and asked them what type of material the strings were made of. The lady on the phone said that is the cabelas bow and it has such and such(dont remember exactly). I guess she didnt ge the memo that it was supposed to be a secret.
Before I bought it I asked cabelas who made it and they said they could not tell me. I almost didnt buy it but the guy said it was a good company. I bought it because of the money back gurantee. After paper tuning and shootin it i would not dream of sending it back. It shoots great groups. Ive killed 4 deer and 1 pig with it so far.
IMO its a good buy for the money.

Correct it is made by PSE. I and my hunting partner purchased bows during Cabels's big Summer sale and they had reps there from PSE that helped in setting our bows up, also many PSE accessories fit that bow. It's a great bow and shoots very well.
